Drugs and Alcohol Found at Scene of Accident on Faucett Road

Ricky Howell was on the scene and witnessed a one vehicle traffic accident March 25 involving a white female. Howell said she was traveling from Highway 75 on Faucett Road and ran off the right side of the road hitting a mail box. 

Howell said he watched as she ran off the road on the right hit the mailbox pulled the vehicle back on to road but overcompensated and ran into the oncoming lane.  A truck was coming at her so she jerked the wheel back to the right, hit a culvert under the driveway then became airborne.   

Howell said, “It was just like you see in the movies”.  She completely jumped the driveway and landed in the next yard.  He took the drivers keys and laid them on top of the car.  She stepped out of the car stumbling and falling to the ground calling them names. 

When deputies arrived the female still tried to drive away as she thought she had the keys in the ignition but they were still on top of the car still where Howell had put them.  Howell said Deputies found Vodka and Xanax in her possession.  (More information can be found in the March 31 issue.)
