Merchants Weigh in on Annexing in to City of Pinson News staff |
Currently, The Village at Pinson, otherwise known as the Food Giant Shopping Center, is not located in the City of Pinson. Yet, City of Pinson residents patron the stores, and spend money on a daily basis at these businesses. According Pinson council members the owner of Hubbard Properties was contacted several times to discuss annexing the property into the city but have received no response. |
One business owner said one reason for their annexation interest is due to the recent passing of the Smoking Ordinance |
The new Smoking ordinance requires merchants in the city to install an HVAC system and a smoking/non smoking area if the business is to allow smoking. (see the December 14 issue for rest of story) |
