Accident sends Victim to UAB

A 24 year-old Kimberly woman driving a green SUV was transported to UAB earlier today after colliding with a dump truck on Center Point Road in front of Rite Aid in Pinson.

The driver of the truck said he was heading home from Trussville to Warrior and turned right at the traffic light on to Center Point Road and Dug Hollow Road heading to Highway 151. The driver said he saw the SUV coming at him in a spin and to avoid a head on collision he pulled the truck to the right colliding with the side of the SUV before coming to a stop in the ditch in front of Rite Aid.
