"A Paper Growing with the City"

The City of Pinson including the Palmerdale community and once known as Mt. Pinson became incorporated in the Spring of 2004 with a population of just over 6,000 residents.

On September 2nd 2004, the first issue of The Pinson News was published with the sole purpose of keeping residents of Pinson, a newly incorporated city, informed and up-to-date about the Schools, Government, Sports and Community Events. Distribution began on September 2nd, with fifty (50) issues published on 8 1/2 x 14 plain printer paper and included three (3) pages.

Now the news is printed professionally by Web Press, with a distribution total of 5,000 copies a month. The Pinson News has come a long way in just one year's time and continues to grow as The City Of Pinson continues to grow. Editorial comments and opinions sent to the editor are encouraged. Suggestions on improvements to the web site are also accepted.
