Innsbrooke Parkway resident Russ Garrett said that after hearing the loud sound he immediately went outside to investigate. Garrett said he was surprised to see the truck resting on its side but even more surprised to see the driver walking around in the street.
Garrett said that when he approached the driver in the roadway to check for injuries there was a distinct smell of alcohol and the driver kept telling him “I need to get to work.” It appeared that no one else was in the vehicle.
According to the sheriff’s office the driver, Dominick Antonio Hawkins was arrested for Public Intoxication and transported to the county jail. He was held over-night on $500.00 bond. Hawkins was released around 10:00a.m. this morning.
