Connecting to the Hardeman County Wireless Hotspot
To search for and connect to a wireless network:
1. Right-click the wireless network connection icon in your taskbar and then click View Available Wireless Networks:
2. The Wireless Network Connection dialog box will appear. If no networks appear, click Refresh Network List in the upper-left hand corner.
3. Choose the network “HC Free WiFi” by clicking on its name, and then click Connect.
4. Windows will briefly change the network’s connection status to Acquiring Network Address, and then to Connected. You can now close the Wireless Network Connection dialog box.
Register a User Account
1. Open Internet Explorer and start browsing. The browser page will be redirected to a login page.
2. The net step is to register a user account and log in. If a user account has already been created, just log in.
3. A window will pop up indicating that the user account has successfully logged in. This window must remain open in order to stay authorized.
4. Once logged in, you can access the Internet. The home page will be redirected to http://www.hardemancotn.org.
